    1. we can take monopoly as an example. people love playing with money (small kids) . But as money is precious, many parents do not allow their kids to play with it.Then an innovative person, named chales.b .darrow, combined money and games. and finally invented monopoly which till now is an very famous game.

    2. people once only could talk either on the phone or on face to face or on sms or messaging hence the thing is that some people wanted to talk face to face without the trouble of going to a place to meet each other. hence Skype was invented . it was first released in 2003 written by Estonian developers Ahti Heinla, Priit Kasesalu, and Jaan Tallinn, who had also originally developed Kazaa. It developed into a platform with over 600 million users and was bought by Microsoft in 2011 for $8.5 billion.this service then allowed people to talk due to the means of a webcam , a microphone and instant messaging using wifi . which the greatest thing thing is that all of them is free!! hence now skype is used by many including children , offices and even large companies!

    3. We can use our email as an example.People in the olden days use letters to send each through various distances and it took days or even few weeks for the letter to be passed down hence, email was invented by Ray Tomlinson in 1972.Now today email have now different partnerships for e.g. Gmail. The even more advanced method for email is sms. Because of email and sms now people can pass messages or even a documents or pictures to each other within seconds!

    4. My innovational item is a watch. It started with just hours. Then minutes.Followed by seconds. It was then innovated to be worn on the wrist. Later, non-battery watches came about. Then date followed by waterproof watches, scratch proof watches, shock proof watches, touch screen, stopwatch, alarm, calculator watches and many more. The latest one is the watch which can store music. The watch can still be innovated into other things. One day maybe I would innovate one.

    5. My example of this is a laptop. The first computer was invented by William Oughtred in 1622. At that time, computers were huge and they were not portable at all. Then, after approximately three hundred years, first laptop was invented in 1979 by British Designer Bill Moggridge. Now, laptops are light and portable. They can be brought to many places - such as to work or school.

    8. 2) We value simple things because they do all the things we need easily and none of the things we don't. Simplicity is harmonious. Leonardo Da Vinci said "simplicity is the ultimate sophistication",because it plays on the idea that being simple isn't banal, it's elegant.

    9. The examples of the two combined things are found in smartphone and round drain(I saw this in Korea). First of all, nowadays we are in technological world and in the street, almost everyone is holding the smartphones. It is dangerous. What if you do not see in front properly and just trip over the fountain? So there is this new innovative function which reflects the surrounding on the phone behind your messages. So that you can walk without bumping anything on your way or hurting yourself!
Next, whenever we see drain holes,it's round..! It's not triangle or hexagon, but why? It's because the circle can sustain any mass due to its radius. So you won't fall in to the drain when you walk over it!
Isn't it awesome to combine water drain and mass-sustainer?

Leonardo Da Vinci-Most of the people think that the ideas are come from genius thoughts, yes it's quite true, but they do not know one thing that sometimes simplicity can tell you everything. We might hear this before, "think simply',if you think simply your mind and brain neurones are clean and calm to think more.

    10. The cordless phone is one of the best innovations to me. During the olden days, people communicate through tin cans( for short distances). Than after that, telephones were created. However, there are still some restraints although telephones were convenient, and that, I have experienced before. When I was cooking, the telephone. I had to turn off the electric stove and stop everything before I can pick up the phone call. However, upon picking up the phone call, I can`t go back to cook, because my telephone was not cordless.

Thus, the innovation of the cordless phone makes things more convenient for everyone. As you can walk around different areas of your house and at the same time talk to your friend through the cordless phone. Although now most people use handphones, contacting people through telephones helps lessen your phone bill as it is said to be cheaper.

    11. 2) It means even though there may be just a few of a certain thing, but each of those thing is actually something really "big". Yet for their simplicity in size, they are very complexed.

    12. my example would be macdonald. when a bread and a meat combined they tasted good. then they started selling it and it become a big success just from two simple things

    13. My examples will be a bag. With just a piece of cloth someone turned it into an object that can store items. It can be found in various forms such as handbag, sling bag, canvas bag and plastic bag etc.

    14. 2)It means that for every complex problem that we face there is a solution that is simple and we just have to think out of the box to find it.

    15. Nowadays when we use our MP3 player, we have to recharge it after it is flat but now we do not even need to recharge it with the help of the soltronix solar headphones. It is solar powered so we do not even need to worry about our MP3 players going flat. Moreover, it can last about 18-20 hours in the dark.

    16. 2)It means that the difficult and complexed questions can always be solved easily when we think out of the box. Thinking out of the box makes it easier and simpler to make out an answer.

    17. 1)Paint marker. They made paint marker by combining paint and marker. I think they had made this so that it will not be that messy when doing painting. If we need to use paint to outline certain stuff, it will also be much easier if the paint marker is used. The paint marker really made paint outlining much easier and convenient for the people who use them frequently. I think the paint marker made lives easier for the people who uses them frequently.

    18. eraser attached pencil. At first pencils had no erasers on the end of it,so when people made a mistake and want to erase it,they will have to find an eraser which may be troublesome and inconvenient as most erasers are small and easy o lose.So one day,Hymen Lipman decided to find a way to make it more convenient for people to erase. So,he took a small piece of eraser and attached it to the end of the pencil. And because of that innovation,it made erasing more convenient for people.

    19. My innovation is a sofa. At first there was not any sofa but only hard chair. The bed was then invented to be soft so that our back will not hurt when we are sleeping. Thus, the bed inspired the chair wich make a sofa which is a good things as our butt will not be injured when we seat down.

    20. The object is handphone. Last Time, when I was younger, my father used to have a pager to receive messages and a phone to call people. Now, handphones can be used to receive messages and call other people.

Leonardo Da Vinci- In my opinion, he is correct. A simple looking object like a calculator has a lot of wiring and other stuff to make it.

    21. An iPad, a product thought of by steve jobs and created by him together with some other people. What he wanted to do was to put an incredibly great computer in a book so that people can carry around with them and even learn how to use it in 20 min then learning how to use a coputer would take a longer time definitely.

I think what leonardo da vinci said might be wrong or correct for others as people may look at something from different perspective. for example, No one would buy a simple cell phone compared to a complex cell phone. No one wants to wear the same style clothes as the other person and no one has the discipline to keep life simple.and it might be correct as a simple object like the iPhone , needs lots of stuff and chips and lots of other things in order to make it.

    22. The post-it note. Dr. Spencer Silver wanted to make a super-strong adhesive, but instead he accidentally created a "low-tack", reusable, pressure-sensitive adhesive. His colleague, Art Fry, took a bookmark and got the idea to use the adhesive to anchor it to his hymnbook, and found out that his bookmark sticks well on his hymnbook but it can also be removed and reused easily. From this, he invented the post-it notes.

    23. Washing machine . In the past , we all hand-wash our clothing . It will be very troublesome and takes up a lot of time if there are a lot of clothes . So, someone invented washing machine and now , washing our clothing is more convenient , and it does not take up lots of our time .

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication :Example ; answering a complicated question in a very simple way . That means in that 'simple' answer , there is deeper meanings , and since the answer cannot be answer in a even simpler way , it is ultimate sophistication .

    24. A thumb-drive/hard disk.In the past people used to store in formation from their computer using floppy discs or sometimes they just use pen and paper. Amir Ban, Dov Moran and Oron Ogdan invented the USB in 1999.The USB has nearly the same concept as a floppy disc except it is small and can store more information and it uses electrical magnetic waves to store information.

    25. A camera. In the past photographic cameras(Camera Obscura) were used and it took a long time for them to take just 1 photo. Soon, technology improved and there were film cameras and now, there are digital cameras. Digital cameras are easy to use and we can instantly take photos.

What Leonardo Da Vinci Meant when he said Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication:
If something simple can serve the purpose of something that is complex, then the simple is more sophisticated. If something cannot be further simplified, then that is ultimate sophistication.

    26. A dishwasher. Josephine Garis Cochrane invented the dishwasher because her servants always broke the china when they washed it. She had to wash the china by hand after parties, a chore which she despised with all of her heart.
This was in 1880. It didn't become popular for quite some time because people insisted that it was women's work, and that "what else would they do?" It was eventually adopted by the army, because when they saw how quickly it could wash dishes, they wanted in on it.
A machine with the skill to wash( clear+clean)+ Dishwashing liquid= A dishwasher.

Leonardo da Vinci's quote:"Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication" is truly right.
What is the exact meaning of 'simplicity'?
      - the quality or condition of being plain or uncomplicated in form or design
What Leonardo da Vinci meant was that if a thing is useful when it is simple, rather than being complicated,it will be the ultimate sophistication as it is at the best level of sophistication.
